Erin was great at reading what we needed. Erin gave me foot rubs, she reassured me, she helped me try positions to deal with the contractions, and was a resource by my side the whole time. I hadn't planned to have any medications or interventions, but almost ended up needing a c-section after a long labor. With each decision, Erin really helped my husband and me process our options, and she left the decisions in our hands. In the last bit of time, Erin made one more suggestion of a position to try get the baby where she needed to be. While remaining hopeful that the baby would move into position, Erin also helped me make peace with the possibility that I may have a c-section. I cried happy tears after finding out that I finally dilated fully and would be able to have a vaginal birth instead of surgery. Had Erin not been there, I would have had a c-section. Erin took the first pictures of our daughter, and they are so precious to us. Even thinking about the picture of my husband's face when he first saw her brings tears to my eyes. Erin was supportive, informed, insightful, and invested in helping us have a good birth experience. We hope to have a second child, and will ask Erin to be our doula again!

I wanted to Thank you again for all of your help with everything. At two months out Lily is a very happy and healthy baby. After a crazy start she is now nursing (or getting breast milk in a bottle) exclusively. It wasn't easy but there are times when I look down at her nursing and my heart overflows with how happy I am that I stuck with it. I sort of feel that way about all of my birth experiences. It didn't go according to plan and there were many opportunities for me to just throw in the towel on what I thought I wanted, but I'm eternally greatfull that I didn't, and I'm pretty sure that a lot of that is due to you. I've recommended you (or having a doula) to all of my friends who are expecting!If you ever need anyone to give a testament to how much having a doula helped them, please don't hesitate to call on me!

First, we want to thank you. There is no way we could have done this without your help and support. Absolutely everything from the aromatherapy (which I remember smelling towards the end!) and massage to all the reassurance that my body was working normally (this was key because I did get scared) was critical for me to feel safe and secure which in turn allowed me to do this naturally. I am so happy that Ethan and I were alert and present for the birth. I think things are going so well with us because of that. Brian says he also couldn't have been the truly excellent partner I've told him he was without you being there for us. So we both really just want you to know that we are so incredibly grateful for you. A huge thanks!
